Stupidity

If there is a company of 99 fools, the one genius becomes the fool.

How is that statement correct?

Would I be considered stupid if I was asked the countenance of god and I did not know the answer, as a Christian?

Who sets the limitation of being stupid or smart?

How could any measurement for intellectuality be accurate?

Then why should we even respect it? Everyone can be smart in different categories or limitations.

If UFO’s come to Earth, would we nuke them? Because we didn’t know they were just hanging out and happened to find earth accidentally?

And why am I asking all these questions? Because I’m so stupid that I don’t know anything

It’s all determined by the majority. If most people (the 99) think one thing, good luck to that one genius to try and change their minds.

….still trying? Well, it ain’t happening.

And yeah, it’s damn hard to try and measure intelligence. Who knows why we bother! But, we have IQ tests, which are obviously flawed. Then there’s Gardner’s multiple intelligences, but I don’t know if that actually measures anything.

There never seems to be a concrete definition in anything. Maybe there was in history, but not anymore because the world is too varied. I think asking too many questions isn’t being stupid, but rather smart. Anyways, this post gets me thinking.

well, in my humble opinion, the idea of “idiocy vs. genius” has always been and will alway be fickle and subjective. because a “genius” only becomes a genius when she/he gets recognized by the socitey.
my conclusion? stop worrying about it and enjoy life to the fullest.

what i tried to tackle here was the idea of being-recognized to be smart. I don’t think smart or genius exists, it’s just about originality.

and sk, why don’t you start a blog too :) ? so i can ever comment you back
